Ethimo for Casa Italia Paris 2024 03.07.2024

After Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo, Ethimo returns as Official Supplier of Casa Italia Paris 2024 for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, which will be held in the French capital from 26 July to 11 August.

Over time, Casa Italia, has grown into an international brand that showcases Italian cul- ture and the Bel Paese through its mastery of architecture, art and design. The partnership between Ethimo and Casa Italia reflects the shared values of excellence, innovation and passion for sport, translating into distinctive, welcoming projects thanks to furnishings that promote contemporary outdoor design and Italian style, quality and hospitality on an international stage.

Le Pré Catelan, a historic Napoleon III-style building nestled in the city’s largest park, the Bois de Boulogne, a stone’s throw from the Champs Élysées, is home to Casa Italia Paris 2024. It was in this iconic building that Baron Pierre de Coubertin announced the birth of the modern Olympic Games on the evening of 23 June 1894.

Ensemble is the concept of Casa Italia Paris 2024, a ‘thought’ that transforms the spaces of Le Pré Catelan into a striking and engaging itinerary, marked by the works of 19 leading Italian contemporary artists and the creations of 28 international designers for nine com- panies representing the very best of Italian design.

Ethimo has furnished the bistro situated in the annexe of Le Pré Catelan, the magnificent garden and the charming terrace on the first floor of the residence with its lounge and din- ing offerings, creating environments that reflect Italian elegance and creativity. In particu- lar, the outdoor options chosen to bring out the best in the areas reserved for guests to re- lax and socialise in are the striking Hut ‘nest’ designed by Marco Lavit, the Swing collection designed by Patrick Norguet, the iconic Kilt armchair by Marcello Ziliani and the timeless Elisir collection. In addition to their sophisticated design and the quality of the materials used, the selected pieces are also environmentally friendly: the teak used in the collections is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, a feature that reflects and emphasises the sus- tainable attitude of the wider Ensemble project.

Ethimo’s association with Casa Italia Paris 2024 is a special new opportunity to celebrate the unique synergy between sporting passion, respect for nature and innovation in design.

ABOUT CASA ITALIA PARIS 2024
For Paris 2024, Casa Italia creates a strong symbolic and concrete link with the ‘father’ of the modern Olympic Games and with France. From the motto of Liberté, Egalité, Fraterni- té, which characterised the French Revolution, Casa Italia Paris 2024 will focus on Frater- nity, the concept most in tune with the fundamental values of the Olympic spirit and most necessary today. Indeed, fraternity implies collaboration, cooperation, building something together, but also the history of the Italian identity, the result of centuries of encounters between peoples, cultures and constant stratification; recognising a brother in others is one of the great teachings of the Olympic Movement. All of this has given rise to Ensemble, the concept at the heart of the Casa Italia Paris 2024 project, a new stage in an evolutionary process that over the years has gradually transformed the athletes’ accommodation from a Hospitality House into an internationally recognised brand, capable of showcasing Italy’s culture and economic system through its excellence. Evoking images of harmony and con- sonance, the concept of Ensemble – a term associated with music and fashion, two pillars of modern French and Italian cultural identity – takes on added symbolic value on the stage of the Olympic Games’ return to Europe after twelve years. Casa Italia Paris 2024 will be a home away from home for Italian athletes, but also for national and international guests who will also be able to experience Italy and Italian sport thanks to the original content on offer. The partnership between companies, craftsmen and the creative intelligence of de- signers will enhance its primary value: hospitality.
