Ethimo at 3daysofdesign 2024 04.06.2024

‘An Italian Affair’
12/14 June, Copenaghen

Ethimo is taking part for the first time in 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen as a Partner in ‘An Italian Affair’ the project celebrating the excellence of design, art, stile and craftsmanship Made in Italy, curated by Claudia Pignatale and hosted in a prestige location. This is the concept behind the link with Ethimo, which, through its collections and with experience and passion, has always interpreted the Italian culture of outdoor living.
3daysofdesign was first conceived in 2013 with the principal aim of promoting Scandinavian design. Today this event is widely recognised and hugely participated ‘over the border’: events, presentations, installations and signature projects bring alive the host city, engaging fans and professionals in the sector on a global level.

Taking part for the first time in what is now an eagerly awaited design festival, Ethimo will be furnishing the wonderful gardens and interiors of the Italian Ambassador’s Royal Residence with its outdoor ranges. For three days, this eighteenth- century property in the heart of the Danish capital will be transformed into an exclusive stage starring the most extraordinary creations and iconic pieces by the Italian brands participating.

The ‘story’ by Ethimo for the special showcase ‘An Italian Affair’ starts in the gardens of the Residence with Out-Fit, the spectacular open-air fitness room by Studio Adolini. It then continues inside the rooms with the Esedra and Venexia lounge collections, the Lustra lamp and the original Folia side table & stool designed by Luca Nichetto; the Bold sculptured table teamed with the elegant Kilt small dining armchairs designed by Marcello Ziliani, and closes with the welcoming Rotin and Patio lounge set, the new line of lounge and dining furniture with its cosy cocooning shapes that anticipates the 2025 collection, both by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto.

All the different pieces share the ability to express that ideal combination of tradition, innovation and contemporary outdoor design, an attitude that goes from the most original reworking of wrought iron to the sophisticated processing of natural stone and concrete, from refined treatment of teak to the use of high-performance materials and comfortable fabrics, specific for outdoor living.
